Fitzroy True Crime Walking Tour The Fitzroy tour meets at Cafe Gabriel, 187 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. From there we cross over the street into Fitzroy to explore the streets and alleys where Melbourne's most notorious citizens of ill fame lived and plied their trade 100 years ago. You will receive a booklet containing photographs of the people featured on the tour so that you can put a face to their adventures. Along the way you will discover former brothels, gangland murder sites, sly grog shops and the places where criminals such as Squizzy Taylor drank, fought, got hitched and faced trial. You will get to know what it was like to struggle for survival in "Melbourne's home of criminals" - old Fitzroy. The tour finishes in the Carlton Gardens near the corner of Nicholson and Gertrude streets. You will receive a booklet containing photographs of the people featured on the tour so that you can put a face to their adventures. It is wheelchair accessible; however, participants will need to keep pace with the group throughout the tour. This tour is an all-weather event, the tour will proceed despite rain and cold weather, it is recommended you consider this when planning your day. TRANSPORT: 9.15am - #906 Bus from Warrandyte Reserve (Warrandyte Football Club) *Please note change of bus departure location MORNING TEA: 10.15am - Upon arrival in the city, Cafe Gabriel (at own expense). 187 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. Club fees are required prior to a membership being confirmed, we cannot confirm memberships until payment has been received. Refund Policy: The Payments and Refunds Policy outlines that refunds will not be given once classes commence without a medical certificate or where there are exceptional circumstances, or in the event Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated is unable to continue to provide the Services or if the manager of Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated makes a decision, at their absolute discretion, that it is reasonable to do so under the circumstances. Where possible, please advise staff of your intention to withdraw from a club. ​If, due to a medical reason or exceptional life circumstance, you need to withdraw from a club, please speak to the manager. Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated is unable to provide cash refunds. Refunds will be issued if a club is cancelled by Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated.
