Supporting Our Community Through Different Stages of Life As we move through life, our roles, identities and needs naturally change. These transitions can be meaningful, but they can also bring uncertainty, grief or a sense of disconnection. In recognition of Seniors Month, and with thanks to our generous funders at the Warrandyte Lions Op Shop, Warrandyte Neighbourhood House is pleased to present a four-part wellbeing workshop series delivered by Mullum Road Clinic. Each session offers practical strategies, gentle education and opportunities to reconnect with yourself and your community. Men’s Mental Health: Creating Space for Honest Conversations Monday 26 October 2026 – 11.30am-1.00pm Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Men often carry a quiet load of expectations, responsibilities, and unspoken pressures that shape how they move through the world. Many men navigate stress, identity shifts, relationship changes, and mental health challenges without feeling they have a safe place to talk about it. At Mullum Road, our team of experienced psychologists and their therapy animals support men with warmth, respect, and an individualized, neuro affirming approach. This workshop offers practical strategies, gentle education, and opportunities to reconnect with community in ways that feel grounding, energising, and sustainable. Men’s mental health is shaped by many factors: work and financial pressures, family roles, ageing, physical health changes, social expectations, and the belief that they must “push through” without support. These pressures can build quietly over time, affecting wellbeing, relationships, and daily life. This session explores: 1. How stress, anxiety, and low mood show up for men across different stages of life 2. The impact of identity, role changes, and unspoken expectations 3. Ways to stay connected to community, purpose, and supportive relationships 4. Practical strategies that strengthen wellbeing while life continues around you Participants leave with tools to understand their mental health, reconnect with what matters, and a better understanding of the next steps toward a more supported way of living.
