Supporting Our Community Through Different Stages of Life As we move through life, our roles, identities and needs naturally change. These transitions can be meaningful, but they can also bring uncertainty, grief or a sense of disconnection. In recognition of Seniors Month, and with thanks to our generous funders at the Warrandyte Lions Op Shop, Warrandyte Neighbourhood House is pleased to present a four-part wellbeing workshop series delivered by Mullum Road Clinic. Each session offers practical strategies, gentle education and opportunities to reconnect with yourself and your community. Support for Carers Monday 19 October 2026 – 11.30am-1.00pm Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Caring for a partner, friend, or family member is an act of deep love, and it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. Sustainable caring requires support, boundaries, and regular replenishment. This session explores: 1. The emotional shifts that occur when stepping into a carer role 2. Adjusting to this new phase of life without losing your own identity 3. Practical ways to make caring sustainable 4. Self care strategies that genuinely energise you, even when your focus is on someone else 5. Staying connected to community and avoiding isolation Participants learn how to “hold themselves up” while caring for others, and how to access support that strengthens both the carer and the person they support.
