Puffing Billy Belgrave to Lakeside Return Trip Setting out from Belgrave, Puffing Billy passes the southern reaches of the beautiful Sherbrooke Forest, a superb example of rainforest noted for its native 'Mountain Ash' trees, a form of eucalypt and the tallest flowering plant in the world. Experience the time-honoured tradition of sitting on the carriage sill – a true thrill for young and old! Within minutes you will travel over Puffing Billy's most famous landmark - the iconic Trestle Bridge Your journey continues over the hill, down the valley and into the forest, with eucalyptus leaves (almost) close enough to touch! After a leisurely 1-hour journey you will arrive at Lakeside station. Visit the Lakeside Hall Museum, located within the Puffing Billy Lakeside Visitor Centre. Puffing Billy's original locomotive 3A can be seen sitting on a plinth. Nestled amongst the towering rainforests, the Lakeside Visitor Centre combines its natural surroundings with the authentic sights, smells, and sounds of Puffing Billy Railway to offer guests a cultural hub with world class facilities. The Centre's family-friendly Railway Café offers a relaxed indoor and outdoor setting surrounded by green rainforest trees and lush ferns. Afterwards, your journey back to Belgrave finishes off a day full of shared memories. Transport 8.45am - Carpooling from WNH carpark departing at 9am sharp. Puffing Billy Departs Belgrave 11am departure - must be at check in 1 hour prior (10am) When travelling on Puffing Billy, guests are required to check-in at the booking office 60-minutes before the departure of the train. Check-in at the booking office closes 30-minutes before the train departs. PLEASE NOTE, it is your responsibility to arrive on time. The train cannot be held and will depart at the scheduled time. Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated does not accept American Express, City Bank or Diners Club. If you would like to join a class or club mid-way through the programmed course, please discuss this with the manager. Club fees are required prior to a membership being confirmed, we cannot confirm memberships until payment has been received. Refund Policy: The Payments and Refunds Policy outlines that refunds will not be given once classes commence without a medical certificate or where there are exceptional circumstances, or in the event Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated is unable to continue to provide the Services or if the manager of Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated makes a decision, at their absolute discretion, that it is reasonable to do so under the circumstances. Where possible, please advise staff of your intention to withdraw from a club. If, due to a medical reason or exceptional life circumstance, you need to withdraw from a club, please speak to the manager. Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated is unable to provide cash refunds. Refunds will be issued if a club is cancelled by Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated. If applicable, refunds will be pro-rata. Warrandyte Neighbourhood House Incorporated requires a minimum of 5 participants for clubs to be confirmed.
