Workshops For Young People aged 15 - 25

Practical skills to help you succeed in the adult world.

Provide First Aid (HLTAID003 - includes CPR)

This course will give you a qualification many employers look for and the skills to respond in an emergency. Heavily subsidised, you won't see this course at this price anywhere else as we are paying a chunk of the fee for you. L Course involves an online component (approx 2-3 hours) and a 3 hour face to face session.

Wed 14 April 10am - 1.30pm Cost: $75 (available for 15-25 year old's only).  Limited places so check your calendar before booking to ensure you are available, (no refunds on enrolment in this course if you change your mind, full refund if we cancel).

 

Money Matters plus pizza presented by

Good financial practices set you up for lifelong freedom. Become financially literate with this is a short, sharp session, with pizza thrown in on us. Covers money management tips, cost of moving out of home, loans and credit cards - budgeting, spending, borrowing. Tues 27 April 6-7pm Cost: $5

 

Resume writing and interview skills

Where do you start with your resume when you have little or no experience? We will help you write your resume and learn about interview skills. Put yourself ahead of the pack with this practical supportive session. Getting a job is serious business, but we will have some fun on the night. Tues June 29th, 1 pm - 3 pm. Cost: $5

 

Cooking up a storm

You can’t get more need to know than being able to feed yourself. Have some fun learning to cook some simple & cheap recipes that you'll get to eat at the end of the session. Tues 11 May, 6:30 -8:30 pm Cost: $10

 

Op Shop Tour: Sustainable Fashion on a budget

Make your money go further, join us on a sustainable fashion Op Shop tour. Hop on board our minibus for a tour of Op Shops throughout Melbourne. Lots of fun and you're sure to find some great new outfits. BYO lunch and snacks. Wed 30 June 10am-4pm Cost: $10

 

Basic car survival

Don't be that person stuck helplessly at the side of the road - learn how to change a tyre, check oil and water and jump start a car . You’ll be able to practice in a supportive environment – better than at the side of the freeway with the world watching! Demo car available or bring your own if you have one.
